I scanned it and : P1656 came up. It means : Transmission cpu to vsa Module . Communication line confirmed. Ive tried clearing the code it does not go away. The VTM-4 system does turn off when it detects a whole lot of "non-drivetrain things" (including misfires, IIRC). So I'd try to fix the AF sensor first.
