Have been advised that GM now recognizes the problem to be with the micro switch used in the shifter to indicated that it is in fact in Park. The fix is replacement of the shift mechanism, not the harness. The replacement shifter has an improved micro switch. This is covered under warranty. 2018 GMC Acadia.

Ok to start I was having a code for shift solenoid sticking, so after some research I found that you can change the torn discs over the shift solenoid switches. after I changed those out and reinstalled the TEHCM on the valve body I started the Acadia and now I cant get it to shift out of park.
